How we managed a 100% rejection of a full truckload for a top designer brand – at zero cost to the client.

THE CONTEXT
A solid pine coffee table was developed, sampled, and fully approved by the client's lead designer.
Following production, the first batch passed TRA-CON's final quality inspection and was released for delivery.

THE ISSUE
Upon arrival at the client's warehouse, the lead designer rejected a significant portion of the shipment.

While both parties had previously agreed that natural color variations are inherent to stained solid pine, the variation in this batch exceeded the designer's acceptable tolerance threshold.

Instead of negotiating or splitting costs, TRA-CON absorbed 100% of the risk.

We recalled the entire shipment at our own expense, refusing to let the client carry the burden of a manufacturing "grey area." We did not offer a discount on the next order; we provided a solution for the current one.

Our team went directly to the factory to oversee the re-inspection of every unit.

Within weeks, every non-conforming piece was repaired and redelivered. Such accountability has allowed that same coffee table to maintain its market success since 2018.
